AC/DC is a rock 'n roll band that was formed in the 1973. The band members are Brian Johnson, Dave Evans and Bon Scott who are the lead vocalists. Malcolm Young is the rhythm guitarist and August Young is the other lead guitarist. Phil Rudd, Chris Slade and Simon Wright have played the drums and Cliff Williams and Mark Evans have played the Bass. AC/DC is one of the five top selling bands in the American music history, have been in the music business for more than three decades and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The group’s most successful and influential work is “Back in Black.”
Their roots lie back in Australia but before that it was in Glasgow, Scotland where the musical of the band, the Young brothers were born. Until today Malcolm and his brother Angus are consider the most formidable guitar team in rock history. The rock 'n roll band has sold out concert tours, and sales totaling 150 million albums including 71 millions in the United States and still counting.
The group’s first album titled High Voltage was released in 1975. AC/DC underwent major changes throughout it career such as the changing of the group members and the death of the lead singer Bon Scott on February 19, 1980. The group has just recently released a new album/soundtrack CD to the movie Iron Man 2 titled AC/DC: Iron Man 2, released on April 19, 2010.
